Blog Blog Bo Bog, Bonana Fanna Fo Fog

I've been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, and without much (any?) consideration of what I'm going to say or how I want it to look, here it is in all its naked bloggy glory.

I could start my bloglife by explaining my blog's name, Honeysuckle Stardust Donkey.  Take the word honeysuckle.  I love that word.  It's so melodic and happy sounding.  I don't think it's possible to say that word and be grumpy.  Also, the Pantone color, honeysuckle, is the color of the year for 2011, and it's a beautiful rosy pink.  Finally, the honeysuckle plant has such a sweet, happy, warm-weather smell, so that's another reason for my fondness of the word.

On to stardust.  I love listening to audio books, and I was recently listening to Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling, a book by Dr. Wayne Dyer.  In one part, he talks about how we are all made of stardust.  I almost cried when I heard that because, to me, that is truly beautiful.  I'm a science geek, and I've always loved discussing or thinking about the universe - what it's made of and how vast it is.  When I was in college, an Earth Science professor was talking about how all the water on earth is the same water that's been here since it all began.  Dr. Dyer talked about how everything in the universe, all the atoms, molecules, elements, etc., have always been here and the elements that make up us human folk could have once been part of a star.  That's not exactly what he said, but I hope you get the idea.  I love that we're stardust....sparkly, twinkly, always-here stardust.

Last but not least, I'll move on to donkey.  My absolutely favorite word is jackass, but Honeysuckle Stardust Jackass didn't sound as good to me as Honeysuckle Stardust Donkey.  I'm not sure why my favorite word is Jackass no more than why my favorite car color is silver.  I just like it, and that's that.  Also, I love donkeys.  Aren't they just the cutest animals?!

So there you have it, my maiden blogger voyage.  I'll try not to bore the heck out of everyone...but it may be too late!

See you guys later.....
